CBFC Clears the Path for the Teaser
On Monday, January 19, the CBFC reviewed and passed the promotional teaser for the sequel. The censor certificate formally lists the film’s title as “Dhurandhar The Revenge.” The teaser itself has a runtime of just over one minute. In a notable decision, the board has awarded the teaser an ‘A’ certificate. This means the content is deemed suitable only for adult audiences. This rating often suggests the film will contain intense action or mature themes, fitting for a spy thriller sequel.
Strategic Marketing for a Patriotic Pair
The marketing strategy for “Dhurandhar The Revenge” is already in motion. A report from Bollywood Hungama on January 18 revealed that the teaser will be attached to prints of another major upcoming film, “Border 2.” A source close to the production explained the logic. They stated that both “Dhurandhar 2” and “Border 2” are nationalistic films. The team at Jio Studios aims to capitalize on the popular wave of patriotic cinema in India.
The source also detailed the release plan for the teaser. It will first be an exclusive experience for theater audiences watching “Border 2.” Following this big-screen premiere, the teaser will be released on digital platforms for the wider public. This two-step approach is designed to build maximum excitement.
