Rajpal Yadav reacts after bail in Rs. 9 crores cheque

Bollywood Actor Rajpal Yadav Granted Bail in Long-Running Financial Case

Bollywood comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav has been released on bail in a long-standing cheque bounce case. The case involves a reported sum of 9 crore rupees. The actor spoke to the media after his release from Delhi’s Tihar Jail. He expressed gratitude to his fans and the judicial system.

A Case Rooted in a 2010 Film Production

The legal troubles for the actor are connected to his 2010 directorial venture, “Ata Pata Laapata.” Reports indicate funds were borrowed for the production of this film. This financial agreement later led to disputes. The case specifically involves allegations of a cheque issued by the actor being dishonored by the bank.

Over the last decade, the matter has moved through the legal system. The original disputed amount has reportedly grown due to accrued interest and legal penalties. This escalation is common in financial litigation where settlements are delayed. Earlier this month, the High Court noted these delays before the actor surrendered and was briefly taken into custody.

Yadav Thanks Fans and Reflects on His Career

Addressing reporters, Rajpal Yadav chose not to discuss specific legal details. He directed those questions to his advocate, Bhaskar Upadhyay. Instead, he focused on his career and the support he has received from the public.

“It has been 30 years that I have been in Mumbai, Bollywood,” Yadav stated. He credited his long career to the affection of audiences. “I have been with the children of the whole world, that is why I was able to make 250 films,” he said. The actor claimed a connection with a vast number of supporters, estimating it at 150 million people.

He specifically thanked people for their support on social media. He also acknowledged supporters who are not online. “Our behavior must have been good with 150 million people,” he reflected.

Commitment to the Legal Process

Despite the emotional tone of his address, Yadav affirmed his commitment to the ongoing legal process. He referenced the case’s timeline, noting it started around 2012-13. “Whatever the High Court has ordered in the last 10 years, I have been present. I will be present wherever it will be ordered in the future,” he told the media.

He emphasized his availability to face the proceedings. “If there is any accusation on me, then I am 100% available everywhere, at every corner,” Yadav said. He concluded his remarks by thanking the High Court for giving him a chance to be heard.

What Happens Next in the Legal Battle

The grant of bail is not the end of the case. It means the actor has been released from custody while the legal proceedings continue. His lawyer has previously described the case as a “layered and confusing” legal battle stemming from the 2010 film deal.

For now, Rajpal Yadav is free to resume his professional and personal life as the case moves forward. The outcome will depend on future court hearings and any potential settlement between the involved parties. The actor’s focus, as stated, will be on complying with all future court orders as this chapter of his three-decade career continues to unfold.
